Reiner Knizia's Samurai is a complex turn-based strategy game in which you must help the Samurai become sovereign.
There are several elements that you must study and learn by heart in order to understand and win the game. These are the map, pieces, tiles, and your hand, and you can study them in detail in the help section. The map shows the cities and villages where you must deploy your resources to influence them. The pieces are the pledges of support you must secure from the various castes in order to become sovereign. The tiles are the resources that you must place on the map and your hand is the set of tiles you have at your disposal during your turn.
In addition to this, you can play the game against 1, 2, or 3 computer opponents according to the difficulty selected, or play with other players in a LAN or in a single computer. There are two fundamental types of games: Simplified Game and Standard game, which barely differ at the start of the game.
